2020 Weißburgunder Muschelkalk

Our Muschelkalk wines are a selection of our top grapes and barrels from the vineyards of the local wines. The wines grow here on soils with large intermediate layers of shell limestone. For this Pinot Blanc, the best grapes with the highest quality are selected again.

The wine:
Pure salty minerality. Elegant in the beginning, with a lot of fullness and fine Pinot Blanc aromas. Strong fruit on the palate, the salt vibrates on the tongue and the wood flatters and is well integrated. The wine calls for a large glass and a lot of air. It usually only becomes really big on the bottle after six months.

Origin:
Rheinhessen | Gau-Odernheim | Petersberg

Grape variety:
100 % Pinot blanc

Viticulture: 100 % Barrique
Only the best grapes are meticulously selected by hand and, after being gently processed, remain in contact with their own juice for at least 24-30 hours. In this way, the fine aromas and minerals can be released from the shell. Fermentation takes place in new barriques and barriques from second occupancy. After natural acid degradation, the wine remains on the lees until August. The wine is filled and not filtered.
